The Lake Geneva Fire Department is committed to transparency and compliance with Wisconsin’s Open Records Law (§§ 19.31 – 19.39, Wis. Stats.). Members of the public are entitled to request, inspect, and obtain copies of public records maintained by the department.
Public records may be requested and inspected during normal business hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Please note that some records may require retrieval and may not be immediately available. Every effort will be made to respond to your request as soon as practicable and without delay.
Fees and Processing
Photocopies: $0.25 per side of each page (actual, necessary, and direct cost of reproduction).
Additional Costs: In some cases, additional fees may apply, including but not limited to shipping, mailing, and the hourly wages of the Records Custodian or their designee for time spent locating and processing the records.
Prepayment: If the total cost of a request exceeds $5.00, prepayment may be required before the request is processed (per §19.35(3)(f), Wis. Stats.).
